Why is it that ever since Drake (formerly known as Jimmy from Degrassi) got famous, all these people from the Toronto area are claiming to know him somehow?  I keep hearing all these musicians boast about how they "worked with his producer", or others "know a friend of his", or chicks "dated him when he was on Degrassi"... we're really going to do this?

Like the name dropping isn't bad enough, but you're really going to sit there and make up this entire story on how many degrees you're socially separated from him because he's famous and from your city?  Whether the stories are true or not, what do you think you will achieve with this nonsense storytelling?  I doubt it will achieve even 5 minutes of fame, nor will it make you richer.

I used to watch Degrassi when he played Jimmy, so to see this kid from Toronto blow up globally was actually a proud moment for a second... until he spread "YOLO" around like an incurable disease, and got all these sheep to start using that stupid acronym.

Don't get me wrong- I don't hate Drake.  I don't even know him.  I just had to get this out because I've been bottling it up for a while.  Proud of him for representing Toronto, but irritated with him for representing Toronto as this city full of personalities who say shit like, "YOLO".
